Built for Every Generation
A six-lane, 25-yard indoor aquatic facility serving
every generation of Mahopac — from kindergartners
learning their first stroke to seniors finding their stride.
Operated by The Mahopac Aquatic Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Who We Serve
Mahopac Aquatics is programmed morning to night — so that no matter your age, your schedule, or your ability, there is a lane with your name on it.
Swim education woven into the Lakeview Elementary PE curriculum. Every child masters water safety and all four competitive strokes by third grade — as part of their school day, at no additional cost.
School Hours · Lakeview ElementaryMahopac Middle School students bused over twice weekly for a structured club and intramural program. The foundation of a competitive aquatic culture — built from the ground up, feeding directly into MHS varsity.
2:45–4:00 PM · MMS Club TeamThe Wolf Pac swim team has competed for years — renting pool time elsewhere. Mahopac Aquatics brings them home. A district-owned facility means championships, scholarships, and a legacy built right here in Mahopac.
4:15–6:30 PM · Varsity & JVAdult learn-to-swim for beginners of any age. Senior aquatic fitness for low-impact wellness. Masters swim and triathlon training. Summer aquatic camp for children ages 5–15. Family open swim year-round.
7:00–9:00 PM · Year-RoundWhy It Matters
A single facility, properly programmed, transforms the health, safety, and opportunity of an entire community — for generations.
Drowning remains the leading cause of accidental death for young children. Swim education in school — starting in kindergarten — is the most direct intervention possible.
Swim lessons cost money. Not every Mahopac family can afford them. A school-based curriculum means every child learns to swim — regardless of what's in their family's backyard.
The Mahopac swim team has never had a home pool. Mahopac Aquatics changes that permanently — ending the cost of renting pool time and beginning a new chapter in Wolf Pac athletics.
The Mahopac Aquatic Foundation
The Mahopac Aquatic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed to bring Mahopac Aquatics to life and sustain it for generations. The Foundation funds, advocates for, and programs the facility. Mahopac Central School District owns the asset.
The Foundation is governed by a seven-member founding board representing every constituency — the district, community families, aquatic expertise, financial oversight, and local business leadership.
As a registered nonprofit, the Foundation unlocks grant funding — including the USA Swimming Foundation — and makes every donation to Mahopac Aquatics fully tax-deductible.
The facility is made possible in part by a generous $250,000 founding gift from the Cooke Family Legacy Fund — a family that has believed in Mahopac for decades.
